Acrylic Sealife Workshop | Sun 9th Feb 2-5pm | Adult Art Class
Time: 2-5pm
Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025
Location: Millworks, 28 Field Road, Busby, G76 8SE
Even if you’ve not painted since school, I promise you’ll leave with a painting to be proud of! Acrylics are probably the most widely used due to their versatility, coverage and quick drying time - great for beginners - and perfect for animals.
We will explore blending colours, applying skin and coral textures, along with using tone within our colour mixing. We’ll create an ‘under the sea’ image including an animal such as a turtle or octopus, or both!
Whatever your level, I’ll tailor the lesson to your ability.
All materials are included in the workshop

Why this class?
If you’ve always wanted to paint but have no idea where to start, or perhaps you got some paints for Christmas and can’t achieve the desired outcome, this is the class for you! Learning how to use paints can be daunting, but by looking at mixing colours and how we apply the paint in different ways, it really simplifies the process. Acrylic paints are one of the most versatile types of paint and great for beginners as you can fix any errors really easily! Brilliant for animals, landscapes, still life and everything inbetween.
Enjoy an afternoon away from it all to learn some new skills, have a chat and zone out! I keep a very relaxed class.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, but you’re more than welcome to bring your own refreshments too (wine is allowed!)
Venue
The venue is in my new studio in Busby, Glasgow. It’s a 10 minute walk from Busby Train Station and the number 6 bus stops nearby too. There is free parking outside the venue.
Unfortunately the room is on the first floor with no lift access. My sincere apologies if this is a barrier to you attending.
Timings
Class will start promptly at 2pm, so please arrive 5 minutes early to allow for settling in. Class will end at 5pm.

Cancellation policy
Fingers crossed there won’t be any disruptions to class, but in the case the class needs to be cancelled, I’ll offer a full refund or transfer to another class. If you have purchased a ticket and can no longer make it, I have a 72 hour cancellation policy. If cancelled more than 72 hours before, I’ll offer a full refund or transfer to another class, but unfortunately if within the 72 hours and I’m unable to fill the spot (I will try the waiting list!) then I can’t offer a refund.
