About the process

I lived right next to Cramond beach for 7 years and frequently spent time down there running, picnicking and dog walking. It’s always been a place close to my heart and reminds me of the days living in Edinburgh so I was keen to make a representative painting featuring Ronald Rae’s Cramond Fish sculpture on a calm day.

Painted using a limited colour palette of acrylic paints, on paper, with a satin finish.

Artwork measures 36×28cm (and is supplied unframed).
