from £35.00

“ANGUIS” - Subconscious Thought and Symbolism

“Anguis” is a captivating oil painting that seamlessly blends whimsical elements with a sense of mystery. This artwork features a woman emerging from enchanting clouds, enveloped in an ethereal atmosphere. The inclusion of a snake introduces an intriguing layer, symbolising duality and transformation, which resonates throughout the piece.

The painting showcases an abstracted, light surrealism vibe, achieved through the deft use of dark blue shades. These rich hues evoke a sense of depth and emotion, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the experience. The dynamic interplay between the figure and the swirling clouds creates a dreamlike narrative, making “Anguis” a striking addition to any art collection.

As part of the wider 'Fever Dreams' collection, this piece explores themes of subconscious thought and the complexities of the human experience. Collectors and art enthusiasts seeking to elevate their space with thought-provoking artwork will find “Anguis” to be a remarkable choice. It not only serves as a visual centrepiece but also provokes contemplation and conversation.

Invest in “Anguis” and embrace the allure of this unique oil painting that merges the surreal with the tangible, perfectly embodying the enchanting spirit of the 'Fever Dreams' collection.

More about the Fever Dreams Collection:

Displayed in Glasgow December 2023.

[Fever Dreams: A very strange experience or situation, that seems like a dream rather than like something that would really happen.]

This collection has been a full year in the making. It’s come from a place of escapism. Amongst our busy lives we need a time to switch off, zone out and create. Personally, it helps me process emotions, practice gratitude and take a much needed distance from the everyday stresses.

It’s why I love teaching art too - to encourage others to do the same.

Fever Dreams has been a collective work of ideas, thoughts, feelings - sometimes calm, sometimes erratic, but always deliberate.
